The Online Continuous Performance Test is a standard CPT designed for delivery over the internet with millisecond precision in response time recording. The task is adapted for use with most internet browsers and can be operated from practically any computer connected to the internet.
The application automatically records omission and commission errors as well as reaction times. Four primary measures are extracted: errors of omission, errors of commission, response times, and standard deviations of response times. These measures are extracted per condition (low and high target frequencies) and by test quartiles within each condition. Data is transmitted to a remote database and is available as a Microsoft Excel file.
It is also possible for researchers to upload a set of online questionnaires that are presented immediately following completion of the CPT task
